By Arezou Azarani | December 06, 2016 at 06:55 PM EST | No Comments

Researchers have found that the presence of certain type of bacteria in human intestines can result in the development of Parkinson's disease. It is beleived that these bacteria are releasing chemicals that over-activate parts of the brain, leading to neurodegenerative damage. Scientists hope to develop drugs or probiotics that work in the digestive system in order to cure/prevent the disease.
