LONG-TERM SSRI TREATMENT MAY DELAY PROGRESSION FROM MILD COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT TO ALZHEIMER'S DEMENTIA
By Arezou Azarani | December 05, 2017 at 04:26 PM EST | No Comments

In a recent study published in The American Journal of Psychiatry researchers indicate that long term treatment, of over 4 years, of patients suffering from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) with a history of depression with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) delayed progression to Alzheimer's dementia by 3 years.
